Mickers wroteEmi wroteSean wroteEmi wrote Get a PC then none of this would affect you, also just because they tweeted offline it means nothing lol they just want attention
Steam goes down all the time what are you talking about lol
Meh I only play Minecraft and tbh that goes down but when it does I'll probably just watch Youtube or go on Steam if it's not down. If consoles go down you can't do anything, there is always something to do on PC ;)
Could just move across to my laptop/computer hahaha?
Fair point, I sold all my consoles and moved to PC cos console turned meh for me D:

While steam is not perfect I can not remember the last time I had issues with their service.
Its kinda lame how these groups ruin experiences for EVERYONE especially on a day like christmas when people get a bunch of new games but the point they are making.. kinda makes sense.. I mean you DO pay top dollar for xbox live yet they have servers that can be taken down by these groups so easily. Im a bit torn on it, on one hand this group should not care how others spend their time, but at the same time youre paying money for a shit service.

Halo wrote What the hell, how many ddos squads are there?exactly. Funny thing is Microsoft doesn't care because we all know they can find these people AT ANY TIME they ever wanted to. Windows 10 is monitored if you guys didn't know, So if any of them were using win 10 or if they're using spoofed servers to ddos then they'd be able to find out whos doing it in a matter of seconds with the type of money they have. But they honestly just don't care.

Or the people doing this are more than aware to not use windows and have completely separate machines for doing this type of thing. If they can figure out how to amass such large botnets, they can probably understand the windows 10 users guide which pretty much states that they use user info to help improve their services. While M$ is a multi-billion company, it isn't as easy as you're making it seem to find people doing these things. The internet is a big place.

Doesnt take a genius to get a bunch of idiots to download your exe. One of the phantom users who posted a screenshot of their screen was on win10.

True, but getting hundreds of thousands of them isn't anything to laugh at. And sorry, I hadn't seen that screen shot, if that's the case than they made a pretty serious mistake in terms of not getting caught.

TheCoderV1 wrote So who here has heard of PhantomSquad? If not, they are the new Lizard Squad. They hit the Xbox server earlier today so if you couldn't connect that is why. They are the newest group of hackers choosing to DDoS big company servers. They said Christmas day, Xbox servers will be going down for a whole week. Lets pray they don't. What do you guys think of this whole situation?
They're a bunch of skids who try to flex, thats all.

Word, I'm just looking for actual proof of them taking it down other than them tweeting "#XboxOffline" Once it's been offline for a good 10 minutes.

I hope they don't hit off the servers on Christmas, a lot of people are going to be ticked.
