I recently broke my drill set so I was looking to replace it. Last night I get on Amazon to compare their prices to some store prices. This morning I get an E-mail from Amazon with their supposed "savings". I'm looking to buy a Makita XT248R 18V brushless cordless combo kit beings that this is the one I broke and I paid a couple hundred dollars for it. I found it in the E-mail and I just couldn't stop laughing.

Here are three combo sets that where in the E-mail, the highlighted one is the one I'm looking to buy again.

I looked at their "list" price and "savings" and thought unless they started making these out of gold, they didn't triple in the last year. Hop on Google and this is what I find:

Huh, I wonder where they got that 680 dollar list price...

probably having it on for a night at a stupid high price to make you think you're getting a saving. DFS in the UK do it, they have a remote shop and have a sofa for sale for say £1600, then after a week they put it up for £600 saying that it was £1600, which it was but nobody bought it as it was in a remote shop.
