What type of engine is your dream engine can be literally anything wether possible or not what is your favorite combination of parts in a motor or just in general what is your favorite could have it in any car and it would make you fall in love with the car mine is my motor lucky enough at my age I was able to score my favorite engine I had a 2001 dodge ram 1500 and built and painted with my father before I turned 17?possibly 16 it's been about 2-3 years but I traded her off and got my dream motor from when I first showed interest in vehicles a 1989 6bt or better known as the 12 valve cummins turbo diesel it is non-intercooled but I'm very happy with it plus what 18 year old can own a diesel truck and say mommy and daddy didn't pay for it not very many but the motor is far from exactly what I want I want the ppump to replace the ol ve pump get a few more ponies from her and either a very big single or an 80mm and 66mm compound setup with around 200-240hp injectors at the moment she has the stock itty bitty 38mm but with that and some pump mods I'm pushing 600ft pounds of torque and a little under 300 hp not even close to what I want but she'll get there

sorry, couldn't read it as I passed out at about the third line as the lack of punctuation meant that I couldn't sop to breathe..
Anyway, my dream engine would have to be something from that mad house that is Nelson Racing Engines

Slap that into the drag car I don't own yet and voila, take the NSRA by storm.

My favorite engine has always been the 7.3L Powerstroke engine. I don't care about how quite an engine is, I don't care much about the HP and torque numbers (even though they're high) because 99% of the time I'm doing just general driving and you will RARELY reach even close to those numbers. I more care about how long the engine will last, and these have been proven to last for ever lol.
I am taking a second look at gas engines though, Ford's new 3.5L EB engine is surprising the hell out of me with the HP and torque numbers out of a V6. It really depends on how long they last, in 10 years I'll give you a definitive answer lol.

My dream engine is currently in my Car, the 6.2L LSA
580hp and 556 lb-ft of torque stock to the engine, but now I'm pushing over 600 hp the engine itself. I wouldn't mind any LS motor with twin turbos though

Anything with a straight 6 is good in my book. However I do like the VAG inline 5 cylinders as well.
