It's a little cheaper for basically the same performance(as the 980, not 980Ti). However, you get more/better storage, as well as a nice little cooler so you can OC the BCLK on the 6700 nicely(upgrade to 6700k if you want a fully unlocked chip). You get a nice case and case fans(2 as intake, one as exhaust is what I'd do). You've got SLI support there, if you need/want it.
980 isn't worth the premium over a 970.
