You do boast a good point with hollywood "scaring" the public into thinking area 51 is dedicated strictly to aliens.

there is no proof to say that they aren't working with aliens or no proof that there is no alien activity (bodies, testing etc.) and the government aren't going to straight up tell us, they try to cover up alien activity the most famous being Roswell. No doubt it houses secret advanced military weapons, they wouldn't tell people if they have contact or are working with aliens, because then there would be a massive panic around the world. Personally i wouldn't care and i think it's pretty awesome.

The burden of proof is always on the person making the positive claim. The claim that something does exist.

If we let you into Area 51, let you walk around and check in every room, but found no aliens, you could just say, 'They've moved them to another facility to trick us.'
But if you took one of us into Area 51 and showed us the aliens there, we couldn't deny that they exist.

You can't prove a negative, you can prove a positive.

The most famous way of explaining this is the 'Dragon in the Garage' analogy.

Me: 'I have a dragon living in my garage.'
You: 'No you don't.'
Me: 'Prove that I don't.'
You: 'OK, show me the dragon'
Me: 'He's shy'
You: 'So, just let me see him.'
Me: 'He's also invisible, you'll have to find some other way to test if he's there.'
You: 'Well can I smell him then?'
Me: 'No, he masks his own scent, sorry.'
You: 'OK, I'll just go in and feel around for him, it shouldn't be too hard to touch him if he's really a dragon'
Me: 'He's immaterial too.'

See how that doesn't make sense?
