I have a Logitech G230 headset which has the male headset and mic jacks. I bought a Y splitter in order to make both jacks come as one. Will I need to purchase an xbox one headset adapter in order to hear and talk clearly or am I good to go as is?

If you have the controller with the 3.5mm jack plug it and check if it works.
