Thanks to Rin's topic for reminding me.

Christmas last year, I rushed an order for an Apple Watch for my girlfriend since she was leaving to NY in a day. Since she's a little one, I bought the 38mm Rose Gold Sport Watch. Bought warranty. $450 in all. I then was able to give her the gift and she loved it. When pairing, we noticed that her phone (That I bought too) was bent. The 6. That same day we traveled to an Apple store located 45 mins away to find a solution because with the phone bending, it's usually replaced by them free of charge.

We showed up and it was packed like crazy so we submitted ourselves on a wait list for tech help. Waited an hour before the first meet. The guy came up to us and looked at her phone. He had no idea what to say so he made us wait for another 30 minutes for his lead to help. His lead talked to us about how the bending could happen, but kept ignoring me about replacing the phone. It's cheap aluminum. It bends. It's their design failure. The lead kept ignoring me to the point of me interrupting him and asked for his manager.

Manager showed up about 30-40 mins later (My patience was over) I was livid. I told the manager what happened. I told her I spent $600 on that phone, and that same day I just bought a watch. So I spent over $1k on their products. Warranty on the phone expired a month prior to the trip to the store and I cancelled the Apple Care cause their rates are too damn high. She told me nothing could happen. I said is it really hard to replace a phone with a design flaw? The manager went to the back with her phone for further scope. She then sent the 1st tech we met with a final solution.

Solution: Nothing, customer had Physical damage. Not Accidental.

It's considered an accident because she didn't physically try to bend her phone, right?

Point is, they made us wait around 4 hours to hear those 2 sentences from the FIRST guy we met.

Just noticed that my iPhone 6+ is bent earlier today, so is my iPad. I have never dropped my phone and I have never sat on it. Same with my iPad. Still love their products though.

The truth is the bending of iphone 6's is not common in fact its quite rare.

Ive had my fair share of shit run ins with apple aswell, owning a macbook. I had an issue when my battery would not hold a charge so I went to the over crowded leather seating disgusting white arrogant shopper filled apple store and I waited about an hour to speak to one of their "genius" and she couldnt tell us what happened so she said we had to buy a new 200 dollar battery.. ok

I called apple support once and I was on hold with an automated voice for near 30 min, got on the line and they asked if I had apple insurance I said no and they hung up... ok

All they care about is money. Not customer satisfaction.
