I just figured out today that you can disable the paddles without taking them out if you press the sync button twice, you'll know it worked if the controller vibrates, just wanted to share. I don't know if this useful to you but I like to use it so when I'm watching a show and you accidentally press a paddle when setting the controller down it won't do the action of the paddle.
