Just go into a gamestop near you and let them know you are seeking a job position and that you are available to start ASAP. Maybe you will get lucky with an interview!

Good place to start working if you like video games! also good communication with customers could help you proceed later in life you learn how to read people how to communicate with them , how to work with them and how to control a bad situation cause customers can be mean and ugly at times not much you have to worry about , show up on time do what the boss says and be willing to go out the way and help others on the job and with customers

never be afraid of asking a dumb question or being turned down either always another job somewhere else but walk in be polite and ask if they are hiring and if you can fill out a application and smile and be friendly

I would just right in and ask for an application, tell them you can start right away, and that you are in fact 18.

My friend works there. He makes minimum wage. You have to be 18, and the only experience you need is playing video games.

I use to work there for eight months so I know a bit about there.

how much do you make hourly? Started out at minimum wage (8.25) eventually after six months got a raise to 8.80
Do you need experience? I'm pretty good at lying to people to make them buy something really good at convincing lol
Somewhat they just want you to have had a position where you handled money or other valuable.

You should never lie at an interview. They will probably ask for references of these people so for example you say "I did some work with my dad at his hardware store" they will most likely find out and won't ever consider hiring you. Just be yourself and honest.

where can I get their Job Applications?
In store or [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

anything I should worry about?
Don't get this job because you're like "oh cool, I get to work for a gaming company" No. It's just like getting a job at 7-11 or Walmart, you're going to do the same amount of work and sometimes more. For example, if you are a cashier at walmart you don't have to push pre orders insurance or pro memberships.

Be prepared to push orders. Even if something isn't right you still have to do it for example some kid might bring up to you sonic boom rise of lyric and be like ohh I can't wait to play this... You still have to check them out. Never talk bad about a game either. They will train you all about this if you do get hired. Basically, when talking to customers you can't say a game is bad.

anything suggestion you guys got?
This may sound hard but when you do get interviewed don't be socially awkward. Be sure to be aware of what he or she is asking. Ask questions.

Good luck

how much do you make hourly? It sould be around $9-12 USD Depending on the store.
Do you need experience? Im pretty good at lying to people to make them buy something really good at convincing lol: Nope, but it's really good to know your games and be able to recommend titles to others (makes you look like a good employee)
where can I get their Job Applications?: Most gamestops will tell you to apply online but you should be able to hand in a resume.
anything I should worry about? Angry customers.
anything suggestion you guys got? If you are friendly to customers you should have a really simple and yet enjoyable job. (Midnight release events are hectic but they can be fun.)

-Former GameStop worker.

Hope I helped.
