I'm running an Asus T100TA, with Windows 8.1
I ran into an issue a bit ago that Asus said was irreparable unless I sent it in but I managed to do it, but now I've run into a new issue that I can't seem to fix. First off, I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 after constant BSOD errors, and my first use restore point seemed to be gone. So fast forward, installation is almost complete, and it tells me to unplug my flash drive and hit OK to finish installation. IT counted down 10 seconds to reboot, and then restarted. Then, BSOD, error code 0xc0000098, pointing to windows/system32/drivers/ntfs.sys, so the installation couldn't complete, I rebooted a lot, and still nothing, I figured it would work at least one time, so I borrowed my friends laptop to do some repairs, here's how that went:
I first tried using my install USB to get to repair tools, but it wouldn't boot, the blue Windows logo showed, stating that windows/system32/drivers/winload.efi was corrupt or missing. Which makes no sense because I was trying to get into my install disk, not my main OS. So my recovery USB wont boot, so I decided to try and use my linux live USB to replace the Winload.efi file with a clean one instead of a corrupt one, but that wouldn't boot at all, I'd use the boot override to go into it, screen would go black, and then stick me right int he UEFI settings again.
So I decided if it's calling on files inside the OS to load this recovery drive, I'd use DBAN to wipe the entire thing to do a 100% clean install, but that wouldn't boot either. I used Rufus when burning these ISO files, and I used the Windows 8 Media Creation tool to make my install disk, the firs time I let that program burn the ISO, and the second time, I just got the plain ISO and burned it with Rufus that time, so literally nothing I try is working.
Like I said it's a T100TA, running Windows 8.1, I have no idea how to proceed.

Your HDD sounds screwed. I doesn't sound like it is writing files correctly.
Could you not just bye a new HDD or SSD?

That's what I'm thinking about doing, gotta get the tools to take this thing apart first, and I wont even bother ghosting onto this thing, I'll start fresh, just hope an SSD like that isn't too expensive.

I believe a regular SSD fits into a laptop with 2.5 inch.
A regular SSD fits into my laptop alright. You are looking at about £70 depending on the size of storage needed.
