February would be like most talked about, so maybe like most times their name was used that month (there must be a way to keyword that but it could be difficult)

Etc each month would be different, and the req of that months badge would not be released until after it was earned so people don't try for it, it just happens, plus if people know about the req they could boost it type of thing

Staff as already said that it would be voted upon the staff members by quality of posts ect...

i have a feeling its just gonna be a popularity contest gonna be interesting to see how it plays out and what they end up doing

Not a fan of the badge but this idea seems like a good way to implement it.

I agree with this to be honest, it seems like a fair way to do it and could play to different peoples strengths.

I don't get why the forums have so much attitude towards shoutbox users, sure they may befriend/talk to staff but I can't recall a time where that has resulted in a special badge. Most of the people you see with special badges in there are either retired staff or won it in the forums like Saki, sure you can moan and say x y and z deserves it if Saki does but the fact of the matter is that there are too many people who do deserve it and its always gonna be unfair, some just get lucky. I see so many people in there who may have befriended staff and what-have-you but have nothing to show for it except a username on their friends list..

I think it's a good idea hopefully, it will be decided by the number of quality posts and helping other members, and not by the number of posts one submits in a month.

Like the staff said, I think they should be the ones too choose it. If members vote I feel like they would only nominate/vote for their friends. I feel like staff should heavily moderate the site and check and see who's helping out and actually making progress. Only people who deserve it should WIN. but on the other hand, it sounds like a great idea!
