Might be a coincidence, or might not be.
You decide
If you rearrange the letters in
William Shakespeare
You can spell out
Here was I like a psalm
Psalm 46 in the King James bible
The 46th word from the top is Shake
The 46th word from the bottom is Spear
William Shakespeare was 46 years old in 1611 when the King James bible was completed

Spear is the 47th word from the bottom in Psalm 46.
The sentence 'Here was I like a Psalm' doesn't make much sense either. Where is 'Here' and how was Shakespeare 'Like a Psalm', especially one which simply describes how God occasionally enjoys starting wars and destroying stuff?
It seems like a whole lot of coincidence to me, but even if it isn't a coincidence it wouldn't be surprising.
William Shakespeare is, in all likelihood, a pseudonym. A writer as brilliant and intelligent as he is could quite easily have purposefully made it so that this link existed.
Perhaps it had some personal meaning to him.
