This topic will consists of some of the stories that's developed over this past week about the DPRK and their "long range satellite". I want to cover most if not all incidents that's already developed, and I am going to consistently update this with more developing stories as time goes on, because we all know the DPRK will try some funny shit in these upcoming weeks/months.

The first incident that was reported this past week was of North Korea firing a long range rocket into orbit.
North Korea launched a long-range rocket from its northwest Dongchang-ri launch site on Sunday in defiance of United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The communist country has said the launch will put an earth observation satellite into orbit, but the outside world views it as cover for testing an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Another user on the site has also posted a topic about this when the incident was first reported, his topic is here: Forums/t=7485296/north-korea-fire...ocket.html

South Korea, U.S. to discuss THAAD missile defense plan
South Korea and the U.S. are to formally discuss deploying the THAAD missile defense system, after North Korea claimed to have successfully launched a satellite into space.

THAAD is an acronym for the U.S.-made Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, which can target short, medium and intermediate ballistic missiles in flight.

The North Korean launch of the carrier rocket Kwangmyongsong Sunday, carrying Earth Observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4, was a "strategic provocation," said Yoo Jeh-seung, head of Defense Planning, South Korean Defense Ministry.

"In response to the increasing North Korea's threat, ROK and the U.S. will officially discuss deploying THAAD to U.S. Forces in Korea to improve its missile defense posture," he added.

The satellite North Korea fired into space on Sunday is "tumbling in orbit" and incapable of functioning in any useful way, a senior U.S. defense official told CNN.

North Korea satellite in stable orbit but not seen transmitting: U.S. sources
The satellite that North Korea launched into orbit Sunday is now "stable" in orbit, a U.S. official told Fox News on Tuesday.

Earlier reports had claimed the satellite was "tumbling" in orbit, which would have rendered it useless. A U.S. official told ABC News the same technology used to get the payload into orbit is the same needed to launch a nuclear-armed intercontinental ballistic missile at the U.S.

A satellite launched by the secretive regime in 2012 is still in orbit but spiraling back to Earth and is not believed to have transmitted signals back to Earth.

"It's in a stable orbit now. They got the tumbling under control," a U.S. official said on Tuesday.

That is unlike the North's previous satellite, launched in 2012, which never stabilized, the official said. However, the new satellite was not thought to be transmitting, another source added.

North Korea has restarted plutonium reactor and could have stockpiles in weeks - US spy chief
North Korea could soon have enough plutonium for nuclear weapons after restarting one of its reactors, US intelligence chief James Clapper says.
He also said Pyongyang had taken steps towards making an intercontinental ballistic missile system.
It comes days after the North launched a long-range rocket, which critics say is a test of banned missile technology.
Last September Pyongyang said its main nuclear facility at Yongbyon had resumed normal operations.
The reactor there has been the source of plutonium for its nuclear weapons programme. The North carried out its fourth nuclear test in January.

Senate passes bill 96-0 to hit North Korea with harsher sanctions

Seeking to derail North Korea's drive for nuclear weapons, Republican and Democratic senators set aside their partisan differences Wednesday to unanimously pass legislation aimed at starving Pyongyang of the money it needs to build an atomic arsenal.

The Senate approved the sanctions bill 96-0 after lawmakers repeatedly denounced Pyongyang for flouting international law by pursuing nuclear weapons.

Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., said for too long North Korea has been dismissed as a strange country run by irrational leaders. "It's time to take North Korea seriously," Menendez said.

Considering that North Korea news has significantly increased recently and will probably continue to increase into the future this should be a sticky.
They did the same with ISIS and Police Incidents, both of those topics are pretty much dead now, yet they remain stickied.

Your post seemed sarcastic, if it wasn't I apologize.
