Rules
General Rules
1. Week advancements will happen every 2 days (3 days over the weekend).
2. GroupMe message your weekly opponent on the first day of the advance to set up when you will play your game.
3.If your opponent does not message you back by 8PM CT, the day before the advance, and you messaged them on the first night, or morning of the block, they will be put on auto-pilot for the rest of the block, and you can play their CPU if you wish. If they do message you back, and you just can't work out a time, then that doesn't give you the right to play the CPU. Contact one of myself or one of the admins to toggle your opponent to auto-pilot.
4. If you know you are not going to be able to play the block, toggle yourself to autopilot.
5. If you are playing the CPU, you are only allowed to start the game once. If something arises (severe injury, disconnection, etc.) and you deem it necessary to restart the game, attempt to get proof of your reason. Take a picture and post it to an admin or the group chat on GroupMe. If you do not have proof, you can explain yourself to an admin, but proof is generally easy to get.
6. If you restart a game vs the CPU and it is determined that you did not have a sufficient reason to do so (you were losing), you will be auto-piloted for one game as a punishment.
7. The only exception to rules 6 & 5 is if your game vs another human disconnected and the outcome was already decided (Blowout/Game essentially over). At that point, the person has earned the win, and can play the CPU until they win the game (Be respectful with score vs CPU).
Gameplay Rules
1. Avoid exploiting the same play over and over again.
2. When playing the CPU, running up the score is not acceptable. A hard cap of 42 points-for will be enforced in games against the CPU. The only exception is if the CPU is close in the score of the game. Violators will have the game in question forced lossed.
3. Any game that disconnects due to lag should be restarted with the same score and time on the clock as when it was disconnected.
4. Rage Quitting is not tolerated.
5. Fake punts and field goals should not be used.
6. Chew Clock is not permitted before the two-minute warning of the first half.
4th Down Rules
1. Under 5 minutes in the 4th quarter, you can go for it if you are down by any score.
2. Down 2 touchdowns or more late in the 3rd
3. 4th and inches when inside the 50 of the opponent but out of field goal range when in the 2nd half.
4. 4th whatever in the red zone if you are down three touch downs or more at any point
Roster Rules
1. Users are not allowed to trade with CPU teams.
2. All trades should be posted within the assigned groupme thread.
3. You are only allowed to switch a players position from OLB to DE, ROLB to LOLB/MLB or any DB swap. You may not change players from HB to FB, WR to TE, etc.
4. A trade is finalized when one GM posts the trade in the thread, and the other GM confirms the deal. Once a deal has been confirmed in the thread, the deal is finalized and WILL happen.
5.In Off-Season UFA periods, you are not allowed to sign a player to fewer years than he demands. This is to avoid people signing players to massive one-year deals and then re-signing them to long term deals cheap.
Rule 5 DOES NOT apply to re-signing your own guys (at any time), or the FA market mid-season.
