Have you ever had that teacher who puts free response questions on a midterm but doesn't give you credit for the right answer?
So this happened the other day to me. My teacher gave us back our test to write down the "right" answers. I had a specific question about muscular strength and she of course had me write a free response answer. So I wrote a in depth answer but because it was a answer that would be for a higher up class and not a intro class she gave 0 points out of 3. After the class I went at it with her for like 10mins and she told me I had the right answer but it wasn't what she wanted. How are you going to tell me my answer is right but give me no points.

Here is how the school system works. The schools are controlled by the government, so you learn what THEY want you to learn. If in school they tell you X happened but you know for a fact it didn't, you still write it happened on the test because that is what they have to give you credit on.

In the 8th grade we did a big study on 9/11. My history teach told us "here is what the government says I have to tell you, so here is that information, but if you look at this picture and this video, it doesn't match up to what I have to teach you". Basically telling us legally this is what he has to tell us but it's a lie, and he can't tell us the truth because he is legally bound not to. He told us what he had to, but basically made us as the students want to learn the truth instead of what the government wants to tell us.

I have had teachers like that. Pisses me off to know I am right or at least the answer I gave was right just to end up getting a bad grade because it wasn't word for word how they expected the answer.

I should have specified that it was my professor in college. She just wanted a specific answer but decided to give us free response so you have to be open to interpretation because we can't read minds.
I have no homework so doing my homework is really just studying for midterms and a final.

You're in college yet you haven't figured out that free response questions have to go by the book? Come on man, get with the program lol.
