With the style of text you've gone for the background doesn't seem to fit with what you were going for.

I know you are trying to make it look slightly painted in the background but I think you would have more success with this when using an image which isn't a photograph stock.

You're absolutely right, but there was a reason why a mountain was incorporated into this piece, in both the background and the text. I'm part of the 10th Mountain Division, I'm an AH64D Apache Attack Helicopter Crew Chief. I made this piece in reflection of the relationship between I and my wonderful fiance, she is a great inspiration to me, but I will certainly try to figure out a way to make the background better.
