Yout wrote I don't have them on Twitter but I keep them on Facebook nd Instagram, I don't see why not... You shouldn't have anything to hide
I dont have anything to hide, its just weird and awkward when they are like "so *name* why did you tweet that tweet" etc. like cmon. If I dont talk to them or see them often they dont need to know about my personal life.
I didnt choose the family I have

I don't use social media, except this, Skype and I guess Steam. With that said, I have cut all communication with my family since the age of 17.

There's no point in this, yeah I understand you don't want them to see your profile posts. In that case just put your profile on private so they can't see what you do in life and also they can't see your posts. There's no point in blocking them that's just stupid in my case. I feel if you block a friend or family relative even though you speak to them in real life, looks like you're uncomfortable to share your posts with them just being insecure that is.

"Why havent you accepted my follow yet" thats all privating your profile would do, atleast blocking them removes record of you even having an instagram, twitter, facebook etc .
I have nothing to hide and not insecure, if anything my family is the one that is insecure and cant handle the fact That I am not one of them with my relegious, politicaly and dieratry beliefs. I figure im doing them a favor by preventing them from being offended and also removing the possibilty of them being petty and disliking me over a tweet.

Qwel wrote Do you block family members on social media?
I do since im the outcast and some might think thats weird but oh well, just curious if others do or dont.
I used to when I was younger, but then I realized that if I'm posting stuff on social media that my parents don't approve of, then future employers probably won't approve and I shouldn't be saying it anyway. Watch what you say, it stays forever!

I do if they cause problems and are generally toxic to you. My fiance's one half of the family is exactly that way and she has them all blocked on social media. Some of mine are too. I don't think it's a bad thing. Family is just a word. I have blood relatives that I could care less if I ever speak to and friends who might as well be like brothers or sisters. So nah I don't think it's weird at all, man.
