alright so i am level 18 but my girlfriend is level 12. Obviously this causes serious issues when we try doing missions together as the enemies scale to my level.
So what are some quick ways to level up? Thanks

This was a very misleading title....

Can't your girlfriend start the missions and then you join her, or does it still scale them up to your level?

If not she needs to do side missions, I would recommend completing all of the ones in the Chelsea area at the bottom of the map near the Camp Hudson, when you complete them all she needs to go speak to the JTF officer in Camp Hudson to get a large amount of xp unless doing the side missions alone gets her to the desired level.

Probably other ways but thats how I've levelled up quickly by completing all side missions in certain areas
