I need some help with my wifi i need to get into the wifi settings over the web but when i type my IP in on the search bar nothing loads up, does anyone know what the problem could be
i am with virgin media also????

I would suggest contacting your internet provider, as I am not familiar with virgin media. I would also consider going to their website and looking at their help page. Hope I Could help.

Open up CMD and type in 'ipconfig' and look for your default gateway and type that into your browser.

I think Sirenfall is right. I just tried that with mine and it worked.

Preferences, > System Preferences > network.
You need the IP address marked " Router " type it into your browser and then log in with the router. You'll get the login details on the back of your router. usually its admin and then your wifi key

completely remove and research and type router xD

when i type that into safari nothing comes up and then it comes up with failed to load,
