hey guys i am going to be upgrading my phone soon, will i need to take the jailbreak off when i bring it to my carrier? is it considered voiding the warranty?

Yeah I would advise you to reset or take the jailbreak off it is most certain they wont take it in.

Yes, after you paid for the phone over your contract time.... Also no you will not have too, the warranty could become void but its not 100% going to happen, to be safe WIPE the iPhone in iTunes on your computer / laptop because files will be stored on the iPhone which are traceable to the jailbreak therefore wiping the phone completely will remove any files and re-install any needed files like IOS.... Anyway I'm judging you have an iPhone.

Also why would you be taking your phone in? I upgraded and they just made me a new contract and sent me a new phone out that I chosen I did not have to leave my house to do that.

well im getting a new phone in a few monthes hopefully when the iphone 7 drops, but im on a 5s so its kinda slowed down a bit but i dont want to lose all of my music or have to reinstall all of the the tweaks i had on the 5s if i get to keep the phone

No. Jailbreaking is legal in all 50 states at this point in time, and your carrier doesn't care. There really isn't a reason to wipe the jailbreak unless you just want to feel safer about the whole process.

No, it doesn't. It is legal in all 50 states. It doesn't void your warranty like it used to.
