i want to start recording on the 360 . but i need something to record with and i dont want a elgato . so what is cheapish and works really good for what you pay for ?

If you are looking for good cheap device I would go with the Roxio Game capture. It's cheap and has pretty good quality. But the Elgato is definitely worth the money spent on it. Just make sure you have a decent computer too because it helps with rendering the videos on either of them.

I would suggest buying a dazzel! When I started doing youtube videos back in ~2010-2011 I used that and it worked really good for the price! I still have it and the av splitters if you are interested in buying it!

You should get a Roxio HD pro, that has the equivalent of a HD PVR 2, so it's awesome and it's cheap.

The cheapest recording device i ever had was called a dazzle, it was like 40-50 dollars.

either a dazzle, roxio, or if you're on a tight budget, i would go with the easycap.
