My advisor has put me in for work experience working 30 hours per week for a month. Is there anyway I can get out of it? As I'd sooner spend them 30 hours looking for a suitable jobs that's going to pay me for working.. Any help would be appreciated and no cocky comments please telling me to just do it as you probably wouldn't work 30 hours a week for free. Thank you!

nope, nothing you can do,i got put on something similar after many pointless courses and when i got to it i complained it was a waste of time and that its stopping me looking for a job, they said if i didnt go i would be sanctioned,i also still had to show proof of job searches, again i complained i didnt have the time but was told again id be sanctoined,so i told them in a rather rude way what i thought of them and signed off and got a job.not the best job but it got me started, they put you on courses and work experience things to get you to do what i did and say f you and sign off,the advisors get a bonus when they get someone off their books but i didnt care and wasnt listening to their bull shit anymore, you either have to suck it up or sign off and take the first job you find, sorry for bad news.im surprised its 30 hours, mine was all for 16 hours, your advisor must not like you then

I only signed on for the first time on Thursday and got a call on Friday about the placement I've not even had any money of them yet lol and apparently they can't sanction you now as it's against your rights or something .

Just do it.
Its experience, and you are getting paid.
Plus its better on your CV to get an actual job.
