I've just been banned for 48 hours for boosting. I think they detected me, because I had boosted earlier that day and forgot to play a normal match to lower my exp per minute. I also think this, I got bored and reported a kids emblem and they may have reviewed my account after that.
Boosters Punishment...
Users who organize to exploit the game for the explicit purpose of ranking up very quickly or to appear in a high position on the leaderboards.
Minor offense: Temp ban, complete stats reset, leaderboard entries removed once
Major offense: Temp ban, complete stats reset, permanent ban from appearing on the leaderboards
Extreme or repeat offenses: Permanently ban from playing the game online
All Private match boosting is glitch and they will get you for that as well.
CT S&D is glitching too.
Glitchers
Users who go out of their way to exploit the game to grief other players. An example would be going outside of the maps clearly defined playable boundary.
Minor offense: Temp ban from playing the game online
Major offense: Extended temp ban from playing the game online
Extreme or repeat offenses: Permanently ban from playing the game online
So if you still cease to do this... You've been warned.
If there are any facts I missed please be free to tell me.

They did say they were not going to take modding and boosting light. They are indeed laying down the law.
