jbox88 wrote Its similar question(s), asking about budget builds

No, it's not. Two completely different budgets and currencies for different rigs.

this includes an OS, HDD, and monitor.

OP doesn't need a monitor or an OS. Even if he did need an OS, paying more than £20 for it is stupid, no need to pay retail price. Of course it has an HDD, would be pretty useless without, but you haven't even included an SSD, which is pretty much a necessity in rigs these days, even when someone has a tighter budget than OP.

I've helped a local friend with a similar build and it ran just about anything at medium settings.

This means nothing, just that you had someone else buy this rig, unfortunately.

Budget build is budget build.

Every build is a budget build.

I will however admit I overlooked currency type, but in my opinion thats fairly minor. This is a matter of opinion, but I view the part list being the most important piece here.

It's not "minor" whatsoever. OP needs a rig for a certain budget, you recommended a US list which just wouldn't work for someone in the UK, at all. Thus, it was entirely pointless and useless.

The rig you suggested was $900. If you were to buy the same components in the UK, it would be £650(not including OS). Both the rigs suggested here already are far better than what you suggested. AM3+ does not belong in a new build. Skylake i3 is better. EVGA NEX G1 power supplies are horrific quality and better PSUs can be had for cheaper. As I already said, no SSD is top kek. The cooler isn't good. Raijintek Aidos, BeQuiet Pure Rock, Cryorig M9i or Cryorig H7 would be better alternatives as they're newer, better, easier to install, and cheaper(other than the H7 which is the best of the bunch). The case is alright, but fan support is limited and there are better alternatives IMO. That monitor isn't good and you can get a nicer monitor for $100.
