I'm running the following specs:

Haswell-E i7-5820K
4 x 4GB DDR4 3k
MSi GeForce 980 TI
MSI X99A SLI Pllus MB

I currently have 2 x H243H Acer 24" LCD monitors and I've been playing a lot of Arma 3 and CS Go as of recently. Given I just built this rig, and Its all red/black (I'll eventually post pictures), I was considering a new monitor. My budget is around $400 and I would love some feedback.

Thus far, it seems like a strong gaming 4k monitor is well out of my budget, 2k possibly as well. I'm currently looking at the Acer Predator XB241H 24" LED G-Sync display (Link below).

I plan to use a display port, not sure I'll end up overclocking, but I might give it a shot. I'm also thinking about updating my OS to Windows 10 for the DX12 and also leverage my old GPU (R9 280x) along with my 980 TI.

This was my 2nd choice, but it doesn't support G-Sync, so I'm not sure, thoughts?

Third option was the same monitor as above, but 1080, thus no 2k.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Here from the other post.
I use to have the Samsung 4K monitor. (UE28...)

4K was very sleek and nice but a lot of games would have problems with it. Some comparability issues. Etc. it looked amazing but I think I would rather stick to 1920x1080
Or the next one above that. (Don't fully remember)

Resolution of 1080p would be ridiculous with a 980Ti, that's top kek. 4k is much more reasonable, but a little out of your budget. Same for 1440p 144Hz, though I'd go with 4k over 1440p 144Hz. You could get a nice 1440p monitor within budget though, which would be your best option if you can't afford 4k.

If you wanted as cheap 4k monitor, these are your options;

The first one is pretty small, 4k less than 27/28" looks weird. The second one is a pretty poor TN panel, I'd much prefer a nice IPS 1440p panel(like the one I suggested above) as opposed to a lesser quality 4k panel.
