As already mentioned in this thread, wait till the US presidency stuff is over and see how things are looking then, stuff will change a lot. Stelter also gave an amazing reply, so you'll have to take what he said about marriage into consideration.

I'd personally stay in the UK if I were you, it sounds better for you in the long run. Ask some people who live in America what it's like for a true answer, I've visited USA on holiday before and it was great but visiting and living there are not the same thing. I have relatives who live there and there's nowhere near as much "freedom" in my opinion.

I stayed with her family for 2 weeks. I hope you're joking about staying in the UK?

We have spoken about both of us leaving our home countries and trying Europe for a new home but that's a whole different story.

No, I'd pick living in my home country, with my family and where I was born and grew up over any other country. What about your family? You didn't even mention this. Do you not have any friends or family that you would miss back home? I don't see why you would downgrade from the UK to America for the sake of being with someone else that you've only known six months.

I downgrade the UK because I really don't like where the UK is going and I've seen some of the terrorism acts performed in this country in person ( Lee Rigby case ) and honestly I hate this country, just my personal experience in the UK isn't making me happy. Of course I'm not just going to up and leave the UK completely and I did mention family, I have their support. Fully. I made the decision to start researching how I'd go about moving to the states way before I met this woman.

Well, I live in Northern Ireland so things are a little different here. Good luck with the move, I hope things work out well for you and you enjoy your experience in America
