Nope, that's not true. There's no rule dictating how active you have to be, nor are there any repercussions relating to this. Be as active as you can/want to be.

The site has turned into a force of habbit for me, chatting to friends in the ShoutBox is one of the things that keeps me coming back. I've spent nearly seven years on the site, hard to break that habbit until things have changed and you no longer see the site in the same way.

Foret- took the words out of my mouth, for the sake of the conversation lets say i was AFK for about 3 years. The reason i wanted to and was able to come back was because of this awesome community. Shout box stays on a tab at work now.
