So, the first new TopGear is now over, what did everyone think of it?

Personally, I thought it was fairly shit, mainly because they copied pretty much everything from the original, that being, text, 'storyline' etc.

But I guess we all have different opinions.

I set my Tivo box to record it, I'm hoping it's not all that bad, just judging by the responses already I know I'm in for a bad time lol.

Alright, so I just finished watching it here are my thoughts.

1. They're using the same script style dialog, even with new presenters. It's almost like Chris was trying to imitate Clarkson.

2. Matt Leblanc - Why did they even bother? The American accent just makes it feel like you're watching the american version or something. No offence to the Americans out there but the American accent doesn't fit in there.

3. The first scene with Sabine Schmitz driving around the airfield, seemed boring as anything just one hit with the laser after just driving around aimlessly for a couple of minutes. That's most likely the producers that came up with that and has no relation to the presenters but it was extremely boring.

4. UK v US challenge where they drove the Reliants from London to Blackpool, that lacked events. Matts car just started steaming then continued from a truck. Wasn't much too it really.

5. The World War vehicle challenge wasn't too bad but I mean I just feel like that would be something the original presenters would say no to.

All in all, of course it's not going to be the same as it used to be, but the presenters have been poorly chosen and it just lacks entertaining stuff. I do like what they have done to the new 'star in a rallycross car' that was a good move, but that's about it really.

Honestly I watched it with an open mind. I didn't feel it was that bad. It's just going to take time to not seeing the usual trio presenting the show. In my opinion it just seems that Evans, LeBlanc + Schmitz are trying to imitate the previous trio. They are far from entertaining. Hopefully the series gets better as it progresses and everyone gets used to the new presenters. Lets just hope that The Grand Tour lives up to its expectations.
