Hello, i recently bought a NAS system and was told by a Best Buy manager that i could host Minecraft servers from this system, if anyone has any info in helping me or if it is even possibly please help, Thank you.

What kind of NAS? I'd expect your's to have around 256mb of RAM which would make performance pretty horrible. Also you have to make sure your NAS runs java. I really hope you didn't buy a NAS to host a Minecraft server without doing any research and just relying on a best buy employee. You can buy a professionally hosted 50 slot server for around 40$/month now a days. If you only wanted to play with a couple people you could have just hosted the server off of your computer. I couldn't imagine why you would have bought this.

NAS = Network Assisted Storage

Why on earth would you buy one to host a server, for that, you'd need a server.

There is no way a NAS is powerful enough to power a MC Server.

This is why you research shit before you spend money...
