so i just did this, because more ram the better right?
Wellllllll.... The 10GB seems to make my computer slower and more lagly than when i had just 1x8 GB.
so is the little extra 2GB bugging it??
1x2GB = 2GB Ballistix Crucial DDR3 PC3 - 12800 (10-10-10-28)(1600MHz)
1x8GB = 8BG Corsair DDR3 PC3-10700 (9-6-5-15)(1333 MHz)

Generally you should have two of the same sticks for best performance, maybe since the timings on the ram are tighter than the other (I'm refering to the 10-10-10-28 and 9-6-5-15) you'll see a performance difference maybe but it shouldn't be that noticeable.

It definitely could be making it worse by using 2 different sizes of ram i would just remove the 2gb stick just think of it like this
Say if you pretty much all of the 2gb stick then you open a program that needs more than that is on the 2gb stick since the 2gb stick and the 8gb can't run in dual channel and talk to each other properly the cpu has to figure out what is on what so it can store information on them so it will have to go to the 2gb stick first to see how much is left on that one then it has to look at the 8gb stick and since the cpu has to do more work it can slow your pc since the cpu has to use more resources just to store information into the ram
So ya remove the 2gb stick if it is lagging and leave it out using mismatched RAM can cause a bunch of problems
