Okay so I got my new computer about 2 weeks ago, it boots fine and everything is picked up and working,

Long Story

So I tried to put an operating system on it, I started by burning the iso to my flash drive and making it bootable and so on... I originally tried to use windows 10 (Couldnt activate so tried to switch later)
and alot of my device drivers where missing such as Ethernet and SM Bus

So with this and not being able to activate it I got a copy of windows 7 home premium and a product key, and repeated the process, but it gave me a window about disk drive drivers missing or something, I got someone to come round and look at it and he did this whole thing in command prompt to try and get round it and nothing was working

TLDR

Can't get OS as windows 7 says disk driver is missing (Tried command prompt bypass) and windows 10 wont activate and alot of drivers (Ethernet, SM Bus, etc.) are missing (intel auto updater for chipsets says I have no driver updates)

I think I see the problem

whenever you build a new PC right after you need to go through all the components and update all the drivers yourself, there should be a disk that comes with your motherboard it should say "drivers" or something like that. The ones on the disk are most likely outdated, but sometimes to get the internet to work you need to use them
I would suggest through the list of components in your PC and figure out what needs to be updated then go to each of the manufacturers websites "usually under support" then manually download and install all the drivers (Note do not update BIOS unless you know what you are doing)

If you can't access the internet and you don't have a disk drive your going to have to use another computer to download the drivers you need, then put them on a USB drive then install on your PC.

after you are all done installing the drivers restart you PC then you should be able to activate windows

also little tip make sure your Windows is all updated as well

Please excuse the fact that I'm very new to this
I'm trying to sort my chipsets currently, I have gone to the intel website to get these, yet there is none for windows 10, the most recent ones are for windows 7 would these be fine to use?
[Edit]: I do not have a disk drive or valid product key for Windows 10

I have managed to succesfully install my chipsets yet my ethernet driver is still missing
Would this be to do with my motherboard drivers at all?

yes on your motherboard manufactures website under support you should be able to find the drivers
