Just purchased an iphone 5 off ebay, just setting it up now and had to restore the phone as there was a password on the device from previous owner. the listing stated they bought the phone from a market and didnt get around to fixing the broken screen (which i just replaced to use the phone)

when i came to set up the device it says i need to activate the iphone linked to an apple id. which isnt the id of the seller on ebay

is there any way around this or should i just sell is as parts or not working on ebay?

many thanks,
jord

Impossible to unlock / bypass icloud. Unless you ask the seller for the email and pass.
