TTGxG3TxR4P3D wrote Whats Up TTG,
got called for a interview tomorrow at game stop and im nervous,
idk why but i am.
im a very heavy gamer. im pretty much up to date with all consoles and with any games thats coming out. is there anything else i should know?
I am a very good salesman and i do have experience in retail.
is there anythngelse i need to know?
Just be yourself and try and make a good impression tomorrow. You will do fine if you just walk in there and let your experience and know how do the talking. Best of luck, man.

Proving your knowledge of games etc isn't going to be your biggest problem so you should be fine in that aspect. The skills they are going to be looking for is customer service and to determine how well you will perform in a customer based role, usually staff will be browsing the shop and asking if customers need any help and possibly help them with finding an item so you will have to be able to show that you are confident and again customer focussed. Another one would be being able to give clear advice to someone who has no clue for example parents etc.
Your experience in retail is probably going to prove this so from what I've read you are ideal for the job, just remember there will be more people than you applying so you will be competing against them.
Good luck

Just sit up straight, don't rush your words, give yourself time to think about a question people like thoughtful answers, and although cheesy just take a deep breath a few times.

Yes, don't be worried. It's gamestop. They accept everyone if you have all 4 limbs and partially a brain

You'll be fine, you don't need to worry as it's only a interview for a job in a Game Store. As long you know your stuff you'll be okay. No need to know, just be polite and be yourself. It's not like you're going for an interview for a 6 star hotel.

I am pursuing a career in PR/HR, and will actually be conducting job interviews and hiring people one day. One thing that is big for me, bigger than presentation/manners is eye contact. If someone keeps good eye contact with me I get a sense that they are an honest person who I can trust. If one's eyes begin to wander around the room, I get a sense that they are deceiving me, and not who the say they are. Eye contact is a big thing for job interviewers, so keep that tip in mind and you will do great!!
