A while back I used to use something called "Fences". It pretty much organizes your desktop's shortcuts/files in a nice and clean way.

I simply just made a folder called ''Everything'' and selected everything on the desktop and dropped it in there, except for the recycle bin.

And everything that I use I have on my bar on the bottom
Also, if there's anything I need I just simply search, love Win10.

If you were using linux I would recommend a launcher like dmenu or Rofi. But since you are probably running Windows I suggest putting everything in a folder and use a launcher like Launchy to launch your programs.

Press windows key + R

Type all those names 1 by 1

Prefetch


And delete all the junk files in all those folders. Also go to your Disk C drive go to manage and clean up.tick everything and click OK

I would also suggest using Fences, like Zesri suggested. I have the paid-for version and it's great. Keeps everything nice and organised as well as being able to have multiple desktops.

I just organize everything in one file, like my main file is just labeled "Files", and as for subcategories, they are as follows:

Book (I wrote a book once, clap for me lol)
Music
Pictures
Resume
Software
Text Files

And then those have even more subcategories, like software contains my drivers, my accumulated programs within zipped archives, my Windows customization software, my larger stuff like Photoshop and MS Office, with my product keys as well within separate text file, even my pictures are categorized, like family, picture replies, and such, it's time consuming to start, but then easy to update and backup every so often, having it clean makes me feel like an important businessman so it's worth it in my opinion lol
