wow dude. absolutely awesome car and what an amazing gift from your parents. Not a massive fan of r35's but damn. Try not to wrap it around a tree for your families sake.

Does any one else in your family have a sports car?

parents paid a little under 90. got it to a good price for the year and everything.

Thats actually a really good price for the year.

I've seen some on autotrader for around that same price in the past month or so, i believe it was around gainsville if anyone was genuinely looking for one!

Awesome! I will be taking a look thank you, I looked on carguru and cars.com couldnt find any for around that price!

There is also one called autolist you can check on too if that helps

Leather seats are a rip off in the auto world (for trucks anyways). I'm looking at buying a new truck and to get leather in the truck is anywhere between a 3-5k option at cheapest. I can go to an upholstery shop and get the same quality leather for 1k or less installed.

OP, I say so sad for a few reasons. You may not be this kind of person but I see it a lot so please don't take it as me trying to attack you or being jealous of your car (hard not to be though haha). Kids get these free cars and they don't really appreciate them. I mean they do in the sense that "hey my car is better than yours", but not in the sense that I worked my ass off for the past 5 years to buy this car so I'm going to keep up on everything and make sure nothing happens to it. If anything though, I'd fault your parents. You are a young driver and need a good car to start out on. Most parents would say get something YOU can afford and make sure it's safe. Some kids don't do that and their parents don't want to drive them around so they buy them a brand new car for reliability. A GTR is not a car that you should be learning. I could be wrong, but I don't think you can afford it. I could be wrong so I'll re-phrase that to say most kids your age can't afford it. Yeah you got the car for free, but now can you afford insurance? Maintenance costs? Repair costs? For the majority of kids your age, the answer is no. Most kids can't afford to repair their 1990's Honda Civic.

All in all I say so sad because I just see a ruined opportunity for respect, responsibility and overall finances. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful piece of machinery and who would say no to it?
i completely see where you're coming from. i only have to pay a little towards insurance & the fill up was like 65$. Nissans guide says to get the oil changed every 6000 miles or so. Thats all i have to pay towards the car. parents covered everything else. Is it right that they're doing all this for me? Absolutely not. Does it make me seem like a complete spoiled brat who gets whatever the **** he wants? Absolutely.

I believe it also requires maintainance every 12 months by nissan, just passing the word on to ya

GTR's only come in an automatic, there is nothing wrong with cloth either. It is easier to maintain anyways at least in my opinion. No need to be rude just because he's only 17 and has one. I don't understand why people have to hate on him
older and better gtr's came in manual, which would be a better option a r32 is a much more appealing to the eye than the r35

Today automatics are out performing manuals. The only reason to get a manual trans in a car today is because you either need to keep your man card, or you don't want to maintain an auto trans. Some will argue they are funner to drive, but I'd rather drive an auto through the streets of Seattle, but that's just me.
