Am I the only person who gets seriously bothered by people who use poor SPG? Like come on is it worth saving 2 seconds of your time to write like an idiot? I could be over reacting just wanna get your opinion on this. EDIT: From the looks of things people have misunderstood the topic. I'm not talking about common mistakes or spelling errors. I'm talking about text language to the extreme from people who are capable to write normal English. You all quickly jump to the assumption I'm trying to point out people's flaws and get defensive. Breathe, after all, it is 'The Rant' forum.

As long as I can read and get an understanding of what a person is trying to say, then I don't really care about little grammatical errors here and there. It's the internet bro.

I hate to be 'that guy' but whoever else notices isn't going to be as nice about it as I am.
In reality, even abbreviations like, 'You're' and, 'Isn't' are not Standard English.
There are people who would complain about you using 'Americanisms' in your text and perverting the sanctity of the English language.
Nobody uses perfect spelling, punctuation, and grammar because there is no such thing as perfect English.
It is a constantly changing and evolving set of symbols.
While I find it refreshing to see people try to use the English language correctly - and on some subconscious level it might even influence how I feel about them as people - as long as I can understand what someone is trying to say I don't mind how they write it.

I don't might it so much on TTG. Keep in mind this is a gaming forum with the target audience of teens. Spelling doesn't matter here as long as you can understand what they're saying.
Also, you should know our generation doesn't want to be inconvenienced with the full spelling of words, nor do they want to actually say the full words. Case in point, "suh dude". Some even go so far as to just say "suh duh".

It's the internet, bound to see people writing out a sentence with poor grammar. No-one can be perfect and so what if they do? You're no perfect yourself in-fact no-one is to be fair.

Your title points toward bad punctuation itself, which leads to hypocrisy.
Your title in correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar would be:
"Bad spelling, punctuation, and grammar..."
Just forgot to add the commas bud.

-YoungSinatra wrote Your title points toward bad punctuation itself, which leads to hypocrisy.I'm not talking about extreme... I'm talking about people who attempt to abbreviate every word, text language to be exact. They try to shorten every word and completely misuse punctuation for example: "R u rlly sre??? Do u rlly thnk dat,,, or am I rong?"
