Dont you hate it when people joke about a serious topic such as terrorism (especially Domestic Terrorism) just so they can get views on their topic and website. Basically this one kid lied about a terrorist attack and linked his source and guess what? His source was his website to his portfolio, I for one feel that this isn't a joke and it's never okay to joke around when talking about this topic.

It never came on the news or anything, apparently to him it's all over the internet, the news are covering it, etc.

While I agree that what he did was abhorrent and stupid, I think a distinction should be made between joking about terrorism and exploiting terrorism. Considering terrorists themselves bear most of the brunt in jokes about terrorism I have no problem with it, but this person was just exploiting terrorism.

I don't know if he's unintelligent, ignorant, or just didn't care but I know how I felt when I read that topic title and I can't imagine any ethically thoughtful person thinking that it would be OK to put potentially hundreds of people through that same gut wrenching feeling for the sake of getting a few views on their portfolio.

It's also quite an eye-opening thing to realize that I didn't even question the authenticity of that headline when I read it. It's bad that we now live in a world where a 230+ death toll at Disney Land is a headline that we actually believe. It might just have been me, but I suspect that it wasn't. That's a conversation for another time though.

I hope that he realizes what he did wrong, but he probably won't and he's probably laughing to himself right now.
