Is the $250 pricetag worth it, or is it too expensive?

Yes man if you can buy em, best Astros out there imo.
If you're buying them for console saves you money on buying a headset for your pc as they are compatible for the pc.
I got the Xbox version and I can hear Xbox and pc sounds while talking on Xbox.
And if I wanna chat on pc just have to do one simple thing and I can chat on pc with pc sounds and Xbox sounds at the same time.
Well worth the money if you ask me.
If you were thinking about getting A50's DO NOT.
They are wireless and the battery died out on me in 3 months, waste of 300$.

The mixamp is what's worth it. The Astro Headsets are not good at all.
I have the MixAmp, but I use the HyperX Clouds with them to chat.

Bro if I were you I would start saving on buying a different headset your A50s will give out.
I read online and it's a common thing.
I had them for 3 months and they died out on me.
I figured they gave out because there was no way for me to always charge it to 100% completely and remove the charging cord. (because I would be busy or doing something else etc.)
Unless you are like super human and perfect asf.

Id recommend the 'Xbox Stereo Headset' no jokes. It comes with the adapter and has better sound quality than my £90 turtle beaches I had. 'Bass wise'

The audio is still pretty good, but I do feel like Turtle Beaches have better sound quality, anyway the A40 Trs are amazing. I know 3 other people with them, and they all agree with me. Best headset i've ever owned, a lot comfier than the original A40s too.
