Hey everyone, so currently I am running a Lenovo Y50-70 Gaming Laptop and am debating switching to a desktop. I can sell my Lenovo for a little more than $1,000. My question is, should I do it?

Lenovo Y50-70 Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 (4th Gen) 4720HQ / 2.6 GHz
Cores: Quad-Core
RAM: 8GB Ram @ 1600 MHz
HDD: 5400 RPM 2 TB Memory
GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 860m 4GB
OS: Windows 10


Custom Desktop:

Case: Corsair Carbide SPEC-02
Fans: Two 120mm
Motherboard: MSI H110M Gaming
Processor: Intel i5 6500 with CPU cooler
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 8GB
Power Supply: EVGA 600W B1
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 (8GB which may be upgrading if leftover money)
HDD: WD Blue 1TB @ 7200 RPM
SSD: OCZ Trion 150 120 GB
Monitor: 2x HP Pavilion 21.5-Inch IPS LED HDMI VGA Monitor

Please don't make fun of me! I have never built a desktop! If I should do it just let me know! If I shouldn't just say so! Also, if I should get a different piece just let me know!

If it's going to be custom built, then yes, switch.

But I would be without a laptop/desktop for a week. That isn't horrible, but would it be 100% worth the upgrade? Are the desktop specs good?

The specs are good in comparison, but out of preference, I'd get more RAM.
