So I have a samsung ativ 5001tc laptop and I upgraded it to windows 10, I notice severe performance loss and go into the Samsung site to see that it's really not recommended since it only has 2gb ram. I CAN'T get windows 8 back on it no matter what I do ( USB boot, USB disc, img mount etc) so I contacted Samsung and the person told me that it's not possible for this laptop to be updated to windows 10, so how the heck do I fix this?!?

Only available until a month after you upgrade man, i upgraded about 7 months ago :/
Do you have a job? You can buy Windows 7, 8 or 10 off of sites like Kinguin for about $20 USD. That's how I bought my legit version of Windows 10 Pro.
You'll just have to Re-install EVERYTHING.

Usually when it comes to something like this, I have to format the drive completely. I would recommend backing up everything. Then, if you have a Valid key for 8.1 (Which is hard to come by) reinstall windows. If no key is there, you could crack it. MS only allows 1 time activation for 8.1 keys that are preinstalled by the OEM.

So in the update & security icon you don't see an option to go back to Windows 8.1 option?
