TaigaAisaka wrote What happened to all the pro Hillary supporters on here that kept saying Trump was going to lose??? Apparently complete silence over this turn out.

Either way, watching the graph of the votes last night was too much, hell I even stopped playing my games so I could watch that like a hawk so I wouldn't wake up and see what the hell happened.

Congrats on the win Trump!

also 10/10 11k whatever who put Harambe in, keeping the memes alive lmfao

Most of us weren't saying that Trump wasn't going to win. We were saying that we didn't want him to win. And why would we be commenting? It's not like Trump supporters are actually engaging with any dissent. It's exactly as I predicted it would be. 'Trumpity Trump Trump.'

So why would we waste our time trying to argue with you when we'll get exactly what we have been getting for the past year?

^^ Exactly that. I actually said on a number of occasions that I believe Trump would win. I just didn't want him to. I laid out why I feel he was an extremely poor choice. Now that the election is over, what really is there to say? When he inevitably screws something up or says something absurd, I may get back to this subject. Until then, everything I said before still stands. I mean, I welcome him to prove me wrong, but I'm not holding my breath considering his VP and who his suspected picks are.

A majority of Hillary supporters were actually saying that Trump was never going to win. In fact, a lot were saying he was going to get slaughtered. Looking at the polling numbers, I would have been confident in saying so as well. I never expected him to flip the blue states he needed.

Dissent? What else is there to talk about after a year of campaigning? It's clear where both candidates were in their views. It's clear why people were voting for one candidate over the other. And, it's clear what the differences were between Trump and Hillary.

It's not like critics of Trump used new talking points either. Typically it was the buzz words "racist, homophobic, bigoted" ect. over and over again.

In general yes, but that's not what I saw on this website in particular. I saw a couple of people occasionally saying he would lose. But the people on here every day debating the issue were very tentative in stating who would win.

But like you've said. It doesn't really matter now. I just hope that I have been wrong for the past year.

You don't even have an actual argument, you just call everyone a retard? I know that Trump is not perfect, but he is much better than Killary and he is not a criminal.

I'm not going to sit here and type a long argument, Trump supporters just sit and ignore everything and believe bullshit, speaking to a Trump supporter is like speaking to a caterpillar.

If you really wanna see my argument look on my personal Facebook, if you can find it.

RIP the planet though, global warming is a myth remember, the more drilling etc that's going to come and the scrapping of the cleaner energy etc is going to be fun. Will be funny to see all our future children die from smog inhalation and your homes to be flooded.

But then again im British so I don't give a shit, the only thing i care about is how that retard is going to affect us, which will probably be in a big way.

They're both atrocious on climate change, admittedly Trump is worse (going off the fact he said it was a hoax and it was hardly covered in the debates) but that doesn't make Clinton good. On one hand you have a guy that said global warming is a hoax (he backpedalled on that during the debates) and on the other you have someone who says she accepts it's real but still continues to push fracking. Don't know what's worse someone who said it's a hoax or someone who acknowledges it's real but continues to push things that's bad for the environment because she's bought.

If Clinton supporters really gave a shit about global warming they would have voted Bernie in the primaries or they would have voted Jill Stein who also had good social and economic policies imo.

Hilary potentially could have started WW3, think that would have effected us in a big way. Can't see Trump topping that tbf.

We as Americans didn't learn our lesson from Bush.
Don's economic policies are Bush's on steroids, and we know what that led us.

When we're neck deep in a recession, Medicare and Social Security is gutted, Roe v Wade & Obergefell v. Hodges are both overturned, Net Neutrality is a thing of the past, and the federal government cracks down on the states that have legalized marijuana, maybe we'll finally learn.

I was rooting for him, but he lost me already when he announced who would be leading up the EPA transition.

edit: to clarify, when I say I was rooting for him, I mean that I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt and cheer him on because the country is at stake, but the EPA announcement only confirmed my worries about him.

What exactly do we believe that is bullshit? Explain to me what's so bad about him compared to Hillary. Your in UK assuming so you don't know as much as we do.

I think it's hilarious how everyone's so butthurt. Your friends, neighbours and even your family voted from trump. America cannot regret it's decisions.

Good luck.

He's against net neutrality, wants to put Snowden to death, wants to bring back torture (even going as far as saying that he wants to do it even if we know it doesn't work), wants to deliberately kill civilians, he thinks that climate change is a hoax, he said that he wants to weaken the first amendment, and wants to bring back section 215 of the patriot act.

And that's not even including his worse-than-Bush economic policies.

Wog wrote America cannot regret it's decisions.

Since when? Dissent is the entire point of the first amendment.
