After all is said and done, forget the driving technique they teach you in drivers ed. Driving is pretty easy as all you need is the gas and brake pedal (and clutch if it's a manual), and the steering wheel. Past that pay attention to road signs and stay in your lane.

Calm down and clear your head, you will be nervous at first because you don't want to do the wrong thing.

Loosen up and find your comforting medium. The course is fairly easy as long as you have someone to help you at first.

parents? relative? friend? any of these?

Take lessons and go for the test again when you think your ready or when the driving instructor thinks your ready!

Just stay relaxed and focused on the road. Main thing to driving is being aware of your surroundings and the road. Also need to make sure to stay in between the lines of the lane you are in also very important. When your taking your drivers test always keep 2 hands on the wheel.

Be relaxed when driving, it's not hard unless you make it hard. You'll be fine.

Everyone is scared on their first drive, and eventually you will get over it! When driving just be relaxed and set back!
