I know this has been said several times and likely will get taken down.

I know I can not be the only one who this possibly annoys, and sure I can just ignore it but eh

RANT - Okay so the posts on here, yes plenty are quality, and or have time taken to post. But lately it is like I have just seen people doing the one word, and yes I do it on occasion, but the thing that irks me is people doing it for post count and just completely skip the topic.

Now I know this will be a pointless rant really, but that isn't all that has been bugging me.

see an example of this would be a topic for lets say "list this bleh bleh" and someones response would be way out of context, "i agree with such and such", or "I am just like so and so", like okay, if you wanted to say that you can quote it, but stick to the topic and post some of YOUR own.

another example in a help topic, **** me for saying this because once again i do it too, but at least mention something rather then just posting something someone literally said right above them to boost their count..

This is likely pointless and has been ranted about plenty but eh why not do it again.

I am not going to lie i used to to it a lot so lmao

rant over

I see a lot of "no" and "yep" comments but mainly on posts asking to gift gold or such.

So pretty much every post Eli (BigBrotherIsWatching) has ever made then.

I feel the old adage if you haven't anything constructive to say that will add or benefit to the thread, why post at all. Of course people will do it for the post count, people have always done, and always will; nothing will change that. I mean how hard is it to type a few extra words or expand more than a meager one word response?

It's not just response posts that are to blame though, some of threads posted are absolute dog shit for lack of a better term, and with dog shit you get dog shit responses. I feel members, including myself should use the report function more to curtail the shitposts. That's sadly all we can do.

I'm seeing this quite a lot too. It's super annoying and the people doing it aren't interested in the post whatsoever, just the post count that they get from posting utterly useless replies

There will always be people who wish to boost their post count. I wouldn't get mad over it, it will never change anyway.

What seems pointless though is one word answers like "yeah" when it's the 4th or whatever post.
Like the post hasn't added anything to the topic.
Remember if you see people doing this consistently i'm sure you can just report them.
Sometimes a one word answer is all you need though

This reminds me of the Jokes Section on the site, I see members comment for a reply 'ok' I'm like WHAT?! I thought I comment short replies but god damn.
