I'm going to put building my own rig on hold if this is a decent build for the price. I don't know a whole bunch that's why I need your guy's help.

I'd be buying my friend's PC, he wants $350 for it.

It's got an AMD FX-8350
GTX 970
Asus Sabertooth Motherboard
16gb of 2133 RAM
Some kind of liquid cooling

All I would need to buy myself is the power supply and HDD. Like I said, he wants $350 for it, is it worth it?

I'd say thats a fair deal. To get a 8350 and a 970 you'll be spending between $250-300 alone (depending on which GPU config you buy) . You can get a nice 600w PSU for about $45 on Amazon, $50 for a 1TB HD too. I'd definitely go for it if you have the money, as long as the parts are in good shape.
