Now i havn't touched up on this in years. So bare with me. First off Based on your experience i would say the materials are not yours.

The lighting could be better the shadows are awkward and make an otherwise clean, simple piece not so.

The extrusions are simple and clean and i enjoy the color selection, it's definitely pleasing to the eyes.

A mistake i made is not spending more time learning how powerful the lighting and texturing can be in a project. i Jumped right into advanced modeling techniques that came out well but never came out to be as clean as i wanted them to because i never understood the importance. for a piece like this with high gloss materials i would make sure i had as much lighting as possible, high gloss materials in any form of design is more prone to showing imperfections.

Solution: take a basic object and a floor and play with the different lights and ways you can create light. Watch how it effects the shadows and how different materials change how they work. There is nothing wrong with using material packages if you use them for their educational purpose. Analyze how they were made and why they come out clean. Play with the different layer styles and note what differences they make on the image. Those small realizations are the fundamentals of Learning. Its almost always the small details that matter most Especially when working with 3 dimensional objects. It can be frustrating at first and boring but i promise once you start to develop a general understanding of the principles the possibilities are endless and only inhibited by your creative mind. I hope to see you continue to create pieces so that you can continue your personal growth. There are multiple benefits to mastering any skills that can be used for self promotion in the future.

Wow thank you for all of that that will really help I will try that now. BTW the materials are mine they aren't very complex they are just normal materials with beckmann reflection and a tad of illumination.

Ah ok, Ive seen many templated text light rooms with a similar designs and human nature is to take the path of least resistance so i made a general assumption. Im glad to hear it though man im excited to watch you grow as an individual and designer.
