No college but started at at $14.00 at age 18 at a staff agency then i did very good and got hired by the company, once year later i am making $25/hour hoping to be work sup/supervisor in the future. Getting a job is not hard i never in my life though i would be fixing tires and sending across the country you won't start with tons of money but you have to work your way up, don't look at other people and do what they are doing be yourself at any job and strive for the best you can be. sucking up at a job is GOOD, that's how you get where you want to be. Yesterday i was driving around in a golf cart with my manager and we were just talking about how i am moving up quick and trying new things before people who have been their for 1-2 years still doing the same thing. pick a job you will like especially if you are not attending college, look for connections, ask friends & family(uncles/aunts). not sure where you are located but look on indeed.com one of my first jobs that i loved was a car porter if you are into cars it's such a fun job, honestly i couldn't wait to go to work, also to add SAVE your money while you can man it feels really good. Once the money starts coming in your going to want to work more & more. as time goes by your supervisors/managers will see you doing good & you will have priority in many things and you will feel proud of yourself.
-Sorry for this messy reply but goodluck on finding a job!

I'm not working right now but when I was younger and had a job, I got it out of luck. A friend asked if anyone wanted a job while a bunch of us were hanging out and I jokingly said yeah, the next day when he's at work he phones me to come up and the Chef just gave me the job lol.

From my experience working and looking for work, location can be your biggest issue, and if you've got no/bad people skills you're gonna have a hard time.
