BANANAS.
Agree and disagree. You can make your own fruit salads for cheap not to mention growing your own.

I have two questions based on these comments.
First, what's a Tesco? Is that like, a gas station?
Second, what's a quid? I know it's currency, but like, where lol
I'm a stupid American over here lol

Tescos is a super market, like Walmart or any of those. It just sells food and other household items.
A quid is a pound coin, very much like a dollar only it's worth a little more. I think a quid is $1.24 to be exact.

Look into cheaper fruits then like Apples and Bananas or even Pomegranate but I think they may be a bit expensive depends really. People always say that junk food is cheaper but that's because they are mass produced and not natural like fruits that you buy, plus it's much easier to make than natural food.
I thought the same until I actually realized that healthy food is much cheaper, the stuff you buy in the supermarket will last you more than junk food. Say you buy a cheeseburger at McDonalds, that's your meal done there whereas you can make a good portion of food at home like Chicken, rice with broccoli etc and still have leftovers that you can eat later on.

Well, you pay for it because you like it and also it works if may fill you up depends what fruit it is. It's like shopping, why do people pay expensive clothes?...because the clothing aren't cheap so the clothes don't rip or tear. Also dpends where it comes from.. I don't careless how much the fruits costs these days. I would buy iy, but if it's in a small box or something and it's going for 3 pounds no thank you!

Fruit is more expensive because of how it is grown, shipped, and sold. Farmers have to be paid, workers have to be paid, transport has to be paid, etc
It costs a lot because of all the middle manning going on, whereas a factory full of machines that don't receive paychecks can stamp out millions of pounds of product a day.
It is just the nature of things.
