I am booking my test again soon (failed the first time)

However, if i do pass, i want to start looking into getting a car and saving up.

I will try and save £4000, will this be enough for maybe a 2009-2012 Ford Fiesta + Insurance with Black Box.

Thoughts?

Check out Arnold Clark mate, get decent finance deals on there. Can knock it down abit with them as well if you go instore and give the chat. Insurance will be quite expensive depending on engine size plus you're going to be a new driver.

You could get a decent newish car for between 140-170 a month, easily. That's just an example.
I usually opt out the blackbox insurance as I can't bear to go 20mph. Feel like a granny.

ps, Good luck!

Your better getting an older car around 1-2k with less than 100k miles. and around 1.2L. Insurance will cost around 1-2k also with a blackbox.

It's becoming almost impossible to get insurance without a blackbox as a first driver nowdays.

However, good luck Fords are usually good runners. I personally don't like Vauxhall. :p

Also if you don't want a blackbox then get one of your parents to be the main driver and put you as second driver. It will be cheaper than a blackbox and you don't have to do 45mph all the time. Thats what I done.
