Ok so this morning i went to best buy and got myself the evga SC gtx 1070 and installed it. Didnt ask to install drivers or anything as my previous gtx 970 used the same driver. But one difference when i go into NVIDIA geforce settings for optimization for all my games it still shows the same optimization for the 970? Ive tried uninstalling geforce and my drivers and reinstalling them but nothing worked so far. For example with the 970 at 1080p on wildlands i could only run it about high or very high with some tweaks. I figured my 1070 would be able to max it out as maxing it out only uses about 4.8gb of my 8gb vram. But when i put it up to ultra i cant hold 60fps and sometimes i get dips into the 30s. Or for games like battlefield 1 geforce still shows i should only run it at high not ultra. But if i go into the game and change the settings preset to ultra it works fine.
