So tell us.

What version of the 980 ti (each consume different different power options)

What is your currency? $(can be AU or USD why we need to know)
Will you overclock?
Do you need a monitor? (if not list model you already have)
Do you need headphones?
Any preferred aesthetics (colors, LEDs, side panels ETC)?

Spend a little more on the R5 1600, or get a better monitor, the 980(ti)'s should have no issue running 1080p-1440p at modest settings.

Better for the budget and is more of a open platform right now. In most cases (but single thread ETC) keeps up with intels chips.

1440p monitor is a good fit for SLI 980s. Plus this monitor can be overclocked pretty well. Intel is cheaper in this scenario since you're paying like a $40-50 premium for SLI support on AM4.

Just overclock the QX2710. It's a much nicer panel than any 144Hz 1080p monitors you'll get. Plus you should easily be able to overclock the QX2710 to 96-120Hz.
